My "Why"

I'm completing 3,249 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness of the prevalence of poor mental health in fifo workers and to raise funds for mental health in Australia.

Most people have a friend or family member who have been in a fifo position and heard about the ups and downs. While I am lucky enough to be at a site that has a strong focus on the holistic wellness of its crew, there are still sites out there that may not have such a supportive team and still maintain old social discourses about how mining, and their crew, should run / be.

This year, I will be raising funds for WA's Lifeline - if you have a spare few dollars, you can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.

Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.

Supporting Lifeline WA

Lifeline WA provides Western Australians experiencing a crisis or thinking about suicide with access to 24-hour support and suicide prevention services.

Our 13 11 14 service is a nationally-routed crisis support number, available every day of the year, across Australia. It is available to anyone - regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. Text support is available on 0477 13 11 14 and online chat at lifeline.org.au/crisis-chat/

Last year, 116,444 Western Australians reached out to Lifeline WA for help. Many were after advice for friends and family. Others were reaching out for someone to listen to their concerns.
