Tim's Push For Better
2 years ago my father sadly passed away and as the eldest son I assumed the responsibility of looking after my mum and 2 brothers. Despite being on top of things financially, I failed to take care of my self during the past 2 years.
I convinced myself that I needed to keep grinding away financially no matter the cost. This lead to me feeling drained and hollow inside as I put on a brave face each day at my workplace and in front of my friends and family.
By God's grace and thanks to the constant support from my workplace community, family, friends and mentors from my church, I was able to recover this year mentally and physically.
I've learnt that it's not the pain/burden that gets easier but it's the back that carries it that gets stronger. I reminded myself that through God I can do all things.
To raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia, I am completing a total of 3,249 push ups that represent the 3,249 lives lost to suicide accross Australia in 2022.
You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.
Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.
