About My Challenge
I am a member of Uni Juniors Hockey Club. My club is proud to be supporting this great initiative to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
As a junior sports club we support positive health outcomes and want to do our part to help address what is the leading cause of death amongst young people – young people who could be members of our club.
You can do your part as well and show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to our page. Our fundraising target of $387 represents the number of deaths from suicide amongst young people in just one year. It is a modest amount but every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.
Supporting Lifeline Canberra ACT
Lifeline Canberra exists to support people in crisis and save the lives of those experiencing thoughts of suicide. For over 50 years, Lifeline Canberra has provided Telephone Crisis Support (13 11 14) to the people of Canberra and the surrounding regions. This service is possible due to the dedication of 300 trained Telephone Crisis Support (TCS) local volunteers who fill shifts to ensure that the phones will be answered; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
