About My Challenge

This year, I will be participating in the push-up challenge with my coworkers at JB to complete 3,249 push-ups (along with alternate exercises) in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia. This number represents the 3,249 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022, a statistic that unfortunately increases every year.

Research shows that exercise can improve our mood and physical health, so even if you're not participating in the challenge, going for a walk or playing a team sport would be an excellent way to boost your general mood.

I hope that this challenge can open up more conversations about mental health, because oftentimes, one conversation is all it takes for someone to feel heard and seen in their struggles.

If you'd like to donate more for the cause, even $1 would be greatly appreciated, with all proceeds that I make going to headspace who provide support and wellbeing services to young people in Australia.

Supporting headspace National

headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.

Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 157 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.

The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
