Lifeline Melbourne volunteers are there for those across our communities in need of urgent crisis support and suicide prevention services through the national 13 11 14 help line, providing confidential 24/7 telephone crisis support and referral services to Australians in need. Each year Lifeline Melbourne's volunteer Crisis Supporters answer more than 30,000 calls. Supported by volunteers and communities stretching from City of Melbourne, to Dandenong, down to Mornington Peninsula, Lifeline Melbourne is one of the oldest Lifeline Centres, providing vital support for over 50 years.
Lifeline Melbourne also supports our local communities through education and training and through involvement in community events. Over the past decade Lifeline Melbourne has trained hundreds of community members, providing them with the skills to recognise, respond and refer on for further support those in crisis, whether that be clients, workmates, community members, friends or family.
